Come Join Our Team – USA Paralympics
USA Paralympics has a goal to reach out to more individual athletes to “join the team.” The Paralympics encompasses athletes with physical disabilities.
In an effort to increase participation, USA Paralympics needs your help to identify and train high school Paralympic-qualified athletes. We currently have seven high school athletes who competed in the 2012 London Games. These athletes came out of their high school programs and onto the world stage in front of 80,000 Paralympic fans. In 2013, we would like to identify more athletes to participate in Paralympics.
Teamwork, goal-setting, self-discipline…all of those great athletic benefits work just the same for a Paralympic-qualified athlete.
Do you have a future Paralympian in your school?
