Johnathan_Gray_1

With his 265-yard rushing performance in Aledo (Texas) High School’s 67-42 victory over Birdville (Texas) High School on October 28, senior running back Johnathan Gray set the state record for career rushing games of 100 yards or more. Gray now has 44 games in which he rushed for at least 100 yards.

According to the National Federation of State High School Associations’ National High School Sports Record Book, Gray’s mark also ranks No. 5 nationally. In addition, the 5-foot-10, 202-pound Gray has now scored 1,100 career points, which ranks No. 2 all time.

Setting Texas state records is nothing new to Gray, as he holds state records for both career touchdowns and rushing touchdowns in a season.
